Mario Gulisano is a Sicilian producer, composer, lyricist, musician and festival organiser. Performing and recording activities, competitions Mario Gulisano began his musical career in the eighties with the creation of the independent record label Edith Music, which soon achieved international fame in the underground record market. He has produced over 30 albums and various recordings. Research, live concerts In 1998 he discovered his interest in popular traditions and founded the Associazione Culturale Darshan, of which he is president. Through this non-profit organisation he began an intense activity of promotion of Sicilian culture at national and international level. With the group Nakaira, of which he has been a member since 2000, and later with Oi Dipnoi and Quartetto Aresud, Mario Gulisano is involved in a specific research into the traditions of Mediterranean culture, which has led him to perform live with success at major international folk and world music festivals throughout Italy, as well as in Austria, Germany, Denmark, Norway, England, Spain, France, Portugal, Hungary, Latvia, Tunisia, Cape Verde, Yemen and Australia. Organisation, artistic direction, events Since 1998, through the Associazione Culturale Darshan, he has conceived and produced numerous festivals of ethnic, world and folk music, aimed at rediscovering Sicilian traditions linked to European cultural roots. These include Classica & Dintorni (since 2003), Tarantafest (from 2004 to 2015), Alkantara fest (since 2004), Meltin'folk (since 2004), Cantica (from 2001 to 2005), Sete Sois Sete Luas (2006), Anthology of Sicilian Music, Live (2006), Zampognarea (since 2009), Musicamilo (from 2005 to 2015), La Polis delle Arti (2022/2023). Cooperation projects Since 2016 he has been the coordinator of Ethno Sicily, a programme promoted by JMI Bruxelles and developed for young non-professional folk musicians from all over the world, with around 25 participants each year. For the last six years he has been coordinator and producer of three European music projects co-funded by the Creative Europe: Nufolk Global Connections (2019/2020), Common Routes (2021/2024), Music in the Circle (2022/2024).

Mariaelena UrsoMariaelena Urso graduated in Economy and Management at the University of Catania–Italy, with a Master’s Degree in “Science of the performing arts-organization of theater and live entertainment events” at the university of Parma-Italy. She works as social and cultural projects manager and as administrative coordinator of different cultural and social non profit organizations. Since 2011 she is part of the organizational team of Magma-mostra di cinema breve, an international short film festival that takes place in Acireale-Italy. She also works as an organizer of international cultural events and writing cultural projects related to folk music. For Associazione culturale Darshan (Catania), since 2019 she is the coordinator of Ethno Sicily, a world music gathering for youth, promoted by JMI, and the project manager of the projects ”Nufolk Global Connections” and “Mic-Music in the circle” funded by CREATIVE EUROPE.

Eric E. VAN MONCKHOVEN (BE, IT) Eric has worked for over 20 years in the field of social cooperation in Italy and abroad (Africa, Mediterranean, Balkans, Indonesia, Brazil), as project designer and grant writer, before dedicating himself to the world / folk music sector (Music4You) as a cultural producer, booking agent, and educator. In 2019 he launched World music Lab-Italia to help Italian artists and operators with music export management and internationalization. He collaborates with various artists and agencies in Italy and abroad. He is also a member of the steering committee of the European Folk Network. Music4You | World music Lab-Italia | European Folk Network Alexandra Khalepa is an architect, art researcher, founder of Carbon Art Residency and curator of the Carbon Community, as well as coordinator of over 200 events aimed at revitalizing 3 sites in Kyiv, Ukraine. She launched a series of labs on new media art, sound art and performative practices. She is doing a doctorate at the Research Institute of Modern Art, with the following subject: Integration of industrial monuments in the cultural and artistic space of Ukraine. She is also project manager of an international residency at Izolyatsia, Platform for Cultural Initiatives.

Born in Catania in 1967. He obtained a second degree in jazz double bass at the "V. Bellini" in Catania. He studied with Maestro Nello Nicotra, Riccardo Fioravanti, Dario Deidda, Nello Noce, Alberto Alibrandi, Roberto Rossi, Paolo Damiani, Cinzia Gizzi, Lucio Terzano, Roberto Martinelli. For years he has been involved in various rock, blues and jazz groups in an intense live activity. His interest in popular cultures has led him to specialise in ethnic and world music repertoires, which he has taken around Europe with various formations. He has collaborated with Taranta Trio, Nakaira, Calicanto, Parto delle Nuvole Pesanti, Nirmegh, Voce 'e Popolo, Libertango, Carlo Muratori, Mario Incudine, Quartetto Areasud, co-founder of Flam&Co and Oi Dipnoi. He makes several tours, playing all over the world: Tunisia, Cape Verde, United States and Canada in 2007, France, Hungary, Croatia, India in 2016, Australia in 2017, India in 2018, Australia in 2018, Chile in 2019. In 2021 he will participate as sound engineer, musician and producer in the first recording of the Quartetto Areasud. He regularly works as a sound engineer for live events and recording studios. Since 2022 he has been working as a primary school teacher.

For Studio in Bed, an agency of which I am co-founder, I have taken care of the creation of websites, commercials, music videos, reports, photo shoots and content graphic designers for various companies, associations, events and projects. As a musician, author and composer I have been active since 2000 with various formations and companies with which I have performed over 500 shows in Italy, Spain, Belgium, Holland, France and the United Kingdom

Joost Naber is a musician, project coordinator and event organizer. Joost Naber is the director of booking agency Soundsnice in Amsterdam and is a concert and festival organizer inviting and hosting many international bands. He has been working with the Babel Sound Festival in Hungary for many years and runs Babel Sound Amsterdam. He also works at the legendary concert hall Paradiso in Amsterdam.

Phedile Audrey Decup Bazoge Born and raised in Paris and currently living in Northern Spain, she started working in the field of music event production in 2011 with the Mas Sorrer International Jazz Festival, which took place every summer in Catalonia until 2015. She is now part of the Babel Arts organisation in Barcelona and has recently successfully organised the tour of Hungarian emerging artists in Spain. Full-time etno freak, musician, voice actor, historical reenactor and a polyglot. Frontman of a Sea-Shanty & Celtic Folk Band - Queen Anne's Revenge. West Pomerania based linguist dedicated to preservation of European folklore and historical heritage. Active speaker for spreading the joy of cultural exchange and all things music and food oriented.
